Dear Indian Owner,

    As the owner of Starklite Cycle, I would like to tell you a little bit about our company and the people who are here to help you obtain the parts you need or answer any questions you may have. On a personal note, 2008 marked my 19th year of working full time with Indian Motorcycles. I graduated from California State University Long Beach in 1989 with my Bachelors degree in engineering. I was given my first Indian, a 1947 Chief, at age five. This was a basket case motorcycle, and I was told that I had until my 16th birthday to finish, or it would be sold. Luckily during high school I found the time to complete the Chief, and still have this motorcycle today, and ride it to many of the local cycle runs.

    The business was started by my father, Bob Stark, in our garage in Anaheim California, while working full time for Hughes Aircraft Corporation. In 1971 his good friend Sam Pierce helped him turn the hobby into a full time business. My Grandfather, Charles Stark, was the Indian dealer in Akron Ohio from 1918 till 1952. Bob started working in the dealership in 1944, and purchased his first Indian in 1949. In 1955 he obtained his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western University of Akron. As you can see our family has long ties to the Indian Motorcycle. This has been one of the main reasons for the knowledge to design and manufacture the highest quality Indian parts presently made.

    I would like to take a moment to dispel a common myth or misconception that runs rampant in our industry. Many people think every Indian Parts dealer sells the same parts, or that they all come from one source. This is not true. Starklite Cycle prides itself in our skill of reverse engineering, design, and manufacturing. Almost every part in our catalog is manufactured exclusively by Starklite Cycle. This is how we are able to obtain the quality that we expect in our restorations, and for you, our customer. Our experience, means that our establishment can give you the Indian owner the type of knowledgeable service and parts that you need and deserve.

    In 1988 our new buildings were completed on our 15 acre facility. This has allowed us to expand our storage area so that we can stock the new, and used parts necessary to give you our customers the most complete line of Indian parts available.

    We hope you enjoy our catalog. We have spent these many years assembling and fine tuning this catalog which to our knowledge is the largest all Indian full color Parts Catalog ever produced. For your enjoyment we included the History of the Indian Motorcycle Company from 1901-1953, and the History of Starklite Cycle. We have also included many of the original Indian Parts Catalog diagrams, and some of our own diagrams to clear up the confusion that Indian left us with.
